In this 4-part student workshop, led by licensed clinicians with decades of experience supporting adolescents and families, we’ll explore:
Navigating Relationships & Social Pressure
Dealing with Drama: How to handle peer pressure, friendship changes, and tricky social dynamics.
Holding My Boundaries: What boundaries are, why they matter, and how to stick to them with friends, parents, and others.
Being Online
Social Media & Me: Understanding how social media affects mood, self-esteem, and friendships, and how to use it in a healthy way.
What’s Going On With Me?
Mind, Body, Emotions: Figuring out all the changes and how to take care of yourself through them.
Am I Okay?: What’s normal, when things feel off, and how to check in with yourself.
Knowing When (and How) to Ask for Help
Calling in Reinforcements: How to know when you need support, who to turn to, and what resources are out there.
Helpful Resources: A list of safe, trusted people and tools you can reach out to — anytime.
Meet The Hosts
Mariam Gerges, LCSW
As the Lead Clinician at Footprint, she brings over 19 years of clinical social work experience, with a strong focus on supporting adolescents and their families. Mariam specializes in working with teenagers navigating emotional, social, and developmental challenges, and has a deep understanding of the complexities of adolescence. Her approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and real-world experience, both in clinical settings and on the ground in high-need communities.
Anna Deming, LCSW
Anna Deming is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over a decade of experience specializing in work with children and parents. She is passionate about helping families navigate the challenges of development, communication, and emotional wellness. As Footprint’s Director of Outreach, Anna leads efforts to build strong, collaborative relationships with schools and community partners, ensuring that the care children receive is connected, comprehensive, and rooted in the environments where they live and learn.
